In addition, we offer a discount if multiple machines are rented for the same party or event. The price is $99.00 for each ‘additional’ machine per day. Q: Are the machines easy to use? A: Absolutely. We’ll even help mix your first batch and show you how to use the machine. In addition, we leave easy to follow instructions. Q: How much ice does it take? A: NONE, our machines are so easy to use. Just pour in the mix and the machine does the rest! Q: How much mix will I need? A: Our experience shows that usually half or more guests drink the frozen drinks even if you offer them a choice. Usually about every 25 people at your party will go through a batch of mix and each batch will produce approximately 50 to 75-eight ounce drinks, depending on whether you are serving alcoholic or non-alcoholic recipes. Check out our rental section to see additional sizing recommendations. Q: Can I use bigger cups than what you provide? A: The 8-ounce cup we provide is the best size to use. With a larger cup the drink will become warm before they finish drinking it and your guests will tend to pour out what is warm to get a frozen one! Q: How much mix do you bring? A: We bring you MORE than you will need but you only pay for what you use. The first mix is on us, and any extra drink mixes that have been opened will cost $20.00 each. Only Caribbean Cooler supplied mixes are to be used. Our machines have been calibrated with these mixes to provide the right frozen consistency that keeps the machine from getting damaged due to freeze-ups. We cannot guarantee the quality of drinks served if other mix is used. In addition, any damage to our machines caused by other mixes is the responsibility of the customer. Q: How do I mix it up? A: We set it up, and help you make the first batch. In addition, we will provide you with easy to follow instructions on how to add additional batches. Q: How do I clean it? A: YOU don't, WE do!! When you are finished with your party, just turn off the machine and leave it alone, we'll pick it up at the agreed time and clean it, it’s all included in the rental price. Q: How long can I keep the machine? A: We drop it off the day of your party and pick it up the next day. Although, if you need it picked up that same evening that can be arranged as well. If you need it longer, please let us know when you make your reservation and we will quote you an extended rental rate. Please note that overnight rentals do not mean the rental is for 24 hours. Q: How long does the first batch take to freeze? A: Chilling both the water and alcohol, if used, allows the first batch to freeze faster. Typically, indoors a batch will freeze in about 30 minutes, outside on warm days, it make take up to one hour. Also, there is no waiting between batches because you add to the top reservoir when the mix-low light comes on. Most machines on the market will re-liquefy the drink mix when a new batch is added, thus requiring your guests to have to wait for the drinks to be ready. Our machines allow your party to continue without interruptions. Q: Who provides the liquor and how much will I need? A: The customer provides all liquor and accepts full responsibility for providing it at their party. Q: What kinds of drink mixes are available? A: Our most popular flavors are: Margarita, Strawberry Daiquiri and of course Caribbean Cooler’s very own Caribbean Blue Ice TM – a favorite of both kids and adults alike. All of our mixes, even those traditionally thought of as adult drinks can be made without alcohol FOR KIDS! Click Here - for a complete list of our drink mix flavors. If you don’t see your favorite, just call us and we’ll get it - given enough lead-time. Q: What if I want two flavors at my party? A: We recommend renting two machines but if you don't mind the mixes blending for several drinks then one machine will do. Q: Can these machines be used for kid’s parties? A: Absolutely! Any of our drink flavors can be served non-alcoholic for adult or kid's events as slushes. Q: How far in advance should I reserve my machine? A: We recommend you reserve your machine at least two weeks or more prior to your event. However, during peak times such as: July 4th, Memorial Weekend, Labor Day, Super Bowl, Halloween, New Year’s Eve, and Christmas; you may need to book your order sooner. A: Our ‘free” delivery zone includes most of Northwest Chicago. We will also deliver to most other areas in Chicago for an additional delivery fee. Contact us for details. Q: What payment method can I use? A: Caribbean Coolers accepts payment by Cash or Check. All rental orders require a $50.00 deposit or payment in full. Q: What am I responsible for? A: (1) Power, (2) Alcohol and (3) Water. You will need to provide access to a standard 110 volt 20 amp dedicated electrical circuit for each machine (please note: we are not responsible for blown circuits). Machine needs to be placed near electrical outlet. Although we prefer not to use an extension cord, if the location of your party requires one, we will supply a special cord at no addition charge. This extension is a heavy-duty 12-gauge wire-extension code and is larger than most standard extension cords. Damage will occur to machines hooked up with smaller than 12 gauge wire extension cords. Do not attempt to use your own extension cords with our machine. All alcohol (i.e. Tequila, Rum, Vodka, etc.), if required for your desired drinks is your responsibility and must be present at time of delivery if you wish to include it in the first batch. Caribbean Coolers does not provide or supply any alcohol. In addition, don’t forget the water! You will need to provide the drinking water to mix the drink batches (chilled water works best and cuts down on the time required to freeze the first batch). Q: What do I do with the machine when the party is over? A: You may switch the machine to the clean position and empty the remaining drinks into a container for your freezer to enjoy later. When the machine is empty switch it to the off position. Q: How much profit can I make with this machine? A: For events related to fundraising, please contact us for special pricing, etc. Q: What else should I know? A: Click Here – to review our things to remember list located in our reservations page! |
